I recently went on a vacation to the Oregon Coast and fell in love with the beautiful landscape. It was amazing to have the ocean at your right hand and forest at your left. It truly was the best of both worlds. If you are planning a vacation or just need some travel inspiration, here are a couple of ideas!

Depoe Bay, OR
-This was one of the cutest stops on our drive up the coast. It was a quaint little town with a homey feel. It was a place that didn't feel too touristy or crowded but was full of charm. We ended up staying 2 nights in Depoe Bay. It is supposedly a great place to see whales amongst all the other wildlife. There are multiple places where you can spot seals, eagles, and many other animals. It also has a great little shopping strip for all of my fellow shoppers! Some great restaurants to eat at are Tidal Raves (sits looking right at the ocean), Arch Rock Caffe (Cute Little Coffee Shop), and Mo's Seafood and Chowder.

Newport, OR
-This was a great place to stop and see the light house with a great lookout point. There were also tide pools down below, following a short climb down some steps, that were amazing. There were all kinds of creatures to see.

Canon Beach, OR
-This is the town famous for the Goonies rock (Haystack Rock) and is a perfect stop to enjoy some food and walk downtown. The beach where the rock lays is an incredible spot for pictures or just an evening stroll. It does get pretty crowded with the popularity of the rock. The town itself is super cute with all kinds of shops along the main drag. Great place to stay the night!

-Trail of Ten Falls Hike- Silver Falls State Park
This is one of the coolest hikes I have ever been on with tons of opportunities for pictures. As it states in its name, you will encounter ten waterfalls with incredible views. The hike itself is a 7.4 mile loop trail but very easy and minimal incline. It is a perfect family hike and one you cannot skip!

Seaside, OR
-This is definitely a more touristy town, so if you are like me and don't love the super popular spots, this might be lower on your list. But, it is still a place that many people love to visit when going up the coast. It is home to the turnaround point for Lewis and Clark and also is a great town to walk around the main streets!
